Found Pets

If you find a lost pet, you are required to attempt to find the owner before keeping the dog or rehoming it. First, contact your local animal shelter to see if anyone has reported the pet missing. The pet should be identified by breed, color, special characteristics, and be scanned for a microchip. MANY PETS NOW HAVE MICROCHIPS! Your local shelter or veterinarian can help you with these items.
