Herb is a 6-8 year old long haired Chihuahua that has been at the shelter for months. This adorable little fellow has the worst knees that we have ever seen.

Corrective surgery was attempted on one knee, but due to the severity of his birth defects, the surgery did not hold. His next best alternative is to use a cart to help reduce the pressure from the concussion on his knees.

Herb is beginning the adjustment to his wheels. He can still use his rear legs for short periods of time, but also needs to use his cart. He will need a lifetime of pain control and special care.

This little fellow should become available for adoption in the upcoming weeks!
