NEW ALBANY FLOYD COUNTY
ANIMAL CONTROL AUTHORITY MEETING
At NACF Animal Shelter 215 W. Market St. New Albany, IN 47150
Due to the continuing public health emergency, Governor Holcomb’s Executive Orders 20-04 and 20-09, as well as guidance from Indiana’s Public Access Counselor, the New Albany Floyd County Animal Control Authority meeting regularly scheduled for April 16th, 2020 is cancelled.
Authority President, Susan Rosenbarger reports that she has been in contact with David Hall, Shelter Director regarding any needs the shelter may have. David Hall reports that the shelter is in good shape and has no immediate needs requiring the Authority’s attention at this time.
The Authority is able to meet if the need arises, but will continue to limit meetings during this public health emergency as public access is limited.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, the NAFC Animal Shelter is operating on limited staff currently. We are continuing to provide the best possible services we can to members of our community and provide the best care to the homeless animals in our shelter. At the recommendation of health experts and to reduce possible spread of COVID-19, we have implemented a suspension of all non-essential services and closure of our lobby is necessary. If you have an animal emergency contact the city/county dispatch center and they will alert our animal control personnel or call us at 812-948-5355.
We will keep our website and Facebook page current with information. Please continue to utilize and share posts on the New Albany Floyd Co Lost & Found Pets Facebook page also to help animals find their way home more quickly.
